Nope, our boxes are well insulated and have frozen gel packs in them to keep everything cool and fresh for the entire delivery day. Your box will be waiting for you by your door when you get home. For optimum freshness we recommend you put the ingredients in the fridge as soon as you get them. We can also deliver a package to your work if you prefer.

Yes! Pause your subscription or cancel at any time. If you would like to skip a week, please do so 7 days in advance prior to the order cut off time. The cut off time for modifications to your subscription is 9:00 AM EST on the Monday prior to the week of your next scheduled delivery.

We ship on Monday using an overnight service, your box will be delivered by the end of the day on Tuesday. We account for the transit time when we are packing your box; we put enough frozen gel packs and use proper insulation for the food to remain cold and fresh for the entire delivery day.

We work with farms and natural and artisanal food suppliers, many of which are local and organic.

Upon receiving your box, put all of the perishable ingredients in your fridge. The frozen items should be put in the freezer until ready to use. You can store dry ingredients in your pantry. Box contents will last in your fridge for up to a week. We recommend you make the recipes in the suggested order for optimum freshness. We rate the order of our recipes based on the most vulnerable ingredients, which should be used as soon as possible.

We assume you have cooking oil, such as canola, vegetable and olive oil, salt and pepper and water of course. Specialty oils such as sesame will be provided by us as well as everything else needed to make the recipes we create.

If you have a few different sizes of bowls, pots and pans, cooking utensils, a colander, a good sharp knife, a cutting board, a can opener, zester or a fine grater, a baking sheet, parchment paper and foil, you should be all set for our recipes.

Absolutely! A great advantage of cooking at home instead of eating at restaurants is that you can control exactly what goes into your meal. When cooking, you can sauté with a little bit of water or dry fry using a nonstick pan, instead of using oil. Since we pre-package everything separately, you can omit the oil easily that comes with the recipes.

The cooking time for our recipes ranges between 25-40 minutes

We package everything separately so you can just take an ingredient out of the recipe and cook without it, however we work out of a shared commercial kitchen where common allergens such as nuts, gluten, and wheat are present. At this time we are not able to guarantee any orders to be free of any allergens.

While we offer gluten and soy free recipes, we work out of a facility that processes those ingredients. If your allergy is not severe you can omit any ingredients you wish and continue with the recipe, as everything is packaged separately. All of the soy products that we use are made from soybeans grown in Canada, with most of them being organic and 100% of them being GMO-free. Our tofu supplier is a local company in Gatineau, La Soyarie and they are certified organic. Our tempeh supplier is a local company in Montreal, Noble Bean and they are certified organic as well.
